Reigate RFC 1st XV News

Here at Reigate we strive to play attractive rugby based on a good application of the skills basics combined with a high level of fitness that allows for a fast and flowing game where effective support play is key; this emphasis on the kind of rugby we play is as important to us as the result!
While the emphasis is always on enjoyment first and foremost, we believe that being competitive and keeping high standards enhances this enjoyment and we are always looking to attract players who fully embrace training, playing and social aspects of rugby.
Additionally, an essential part of the character of our club has always been to introduce, encourage and develop new players to the game; how many talented rugby players are out there who have never held a ball? Whatever your age and experience, young or old, in your prime or of an age where you are looking for a less competitive and more social game of rugby, you will be made to feel welcome at Reigate RFC and be given the opportunity to play the standard of rugby that you want Also, if your playing days are behind you or you just wish to help or spectate, we would be delighted to welcome you to our active social membership who to play.
We regularly meet to support our first and second team at home and often travel away to support either side in important fixtures. Our bar and dining area makes for an attractive and comfortable and friendly environment to spend a Saturday afternoon! Already we are gearing up for the start of the new season with pre-season training (Tuesdays and Thursdays at Colley Lane) and are privileged to have two excellent coaches, great playing facilities and a fantastic new bar that will be the envy of many clubs in the local area!
