Reigate RFC 2nd XV News

Reigate Rugby Club 2nd XV compete in the Surrey Reserve League A, which is a completely separate competition to the main Surrey League that the 1st XV play in. Since joining the league in 2002, we have built an extremely good reputation having won the Merit Bowl Final in 2003, reached the semi-finals in 2004 and won the Reserve Shield Final in 2006.

As the feeding ground for the 1st XV and starting block for all new recruits, the 2nd XV are a mixed bunch of players of all standards looking to enjoy a weekly game of rugby (ranging from players brand new to the game to seasoned veterans - all are welcome). Although we don't always take the professional approach to training, we are committed to putting in 100% every week and serious about competing and winning.

We are the ideal place for players of all standards to come along and join one of the most welcoming and sociable teams in the South East.

As well as our performance on the field, we enjoy the social side to the sport and are regulars of the local pubs (The Blue Anchor in Reigate are the 2nd team sponsor). We also organise annual tours both in the UK and overseas which have to be experienced to be believed!
