After celebrating our 90th birthday in the previous season, taking time to reflect on nearly a century of rugby and community at Reigate Rugby Club, it's time to kick on in our 91st year in an action packed season that offers plenty of promise on and off the pitch.

Pre-season is underway for our Seniors who are aiming on a Surrey 4 push this season after retaining their status in the league following promotion the prior year. With a wealth of coaching experience between them Matt, Steve and Ray have exciting plans for a young and growing squad of players.

Colts pre-season kicks off Wednesday from 18.30, followed by Sunday's at 11.30-13.00. Minis and Youth ramp up from Sunday the 31st August whilst the U14's have already stolen a march and are training Tuesday evenings 19.00-21.00 with the boys getting fully stuck in.

Additionally, walking rugby is in full flight, at a gentler pace but no less frantic than the full version of the game, this touch based version of the game is taking off across the country. Sessions every Friday and regular tournaments give a great way to stay in touch with the game without the contact.

The pitches look fantastic as the drainage works come to full fruition, with no disruption last season due to unplayable surfaces. There's some ongoing maintenance that will take place but the surfaces are truly there to be proud of.

With so much going on on the pitch, it's important not to lose sight of all the great stuff off the pitch at Reigate's Club, a packed summer of Lions test rugby has already taken place, the Women's Rugby World Cup is in full swing and save the date for 8th November when our amazing fireworks display will take place.
