The team continued their winning run this year with another outstanding display against a very good team.

The pitch and weather were not great but the players played those conditions well with some very clever play up front and good use of the wings ( and grass!) out wide.

An early opening try by Evan after a good passing move across the pitch showed the benefits of great support play. After some excellent defensive work in the very wet centre of the pitch, a turnover was quickly sent wide for Ryan to use his speed to double the score.

Old Emanuel’s got a try back from some excellent running and the lads came under increasing pressure which they withstood well. Once the backs got the ball back they again went wide and Sam picked up a nice offload from Jack to race over for his 1st of the day. This theme continued throughout the rest of the half with Jack, Ryan and Sam adding extra tries whilst the forwards worked hard to snuff out any attacks.

Wholesale changes in the forwards were made at half time but the lads carried on the great work of the first half. A quick try conceded at the start of the second half was replied to by Jack with a run through the centre and try. Sam then made an outstanding break round the outside to run half the pitch leaving defenders in his wake. Jack and Sam added further tries as the teams tired on the very heavy pitch.

A very good all round performance by the team and a well deserved man of the match going to Sam.
